Western Coralroot

Stem slender, erect, red to brownish purple. Upper petals pink to reddish pink, with yellow to dark red veins; lower petal wider, deep pink to red, with 3 deep red veins; spur prominent, under base of lower petal. Grows in shady conifer forests at low to mid elevations. Similar to C. maculata, spotted coralroot, which lacks spur.
