Yellow Penstemon

Mats small with upright stems. Leaves lance-shaped, light green, entire. Dense whorls of flowers atop stems. Flowers small, light yellow to cream, purple markings or spots on inside, staminode bearded. Grows in moist meadows, forest openings, at mid elevations. Confertus means "dense" or "crowded," referring to the whorls of flowers.
