Slender Cudweed

Basal tufts of leaves, erect flower stems, scented, with gray matted hairs throughout. Leaves 1/2–3 in. long, linear; stem leaves upward-pointing, leaves in nonblooming stems spoon-shaped, upper stem leaves with wing running down stem. Flower heads with short stalks, many in tight clusters pointing upward. Calyx straw-colored with white to straw-colored flowers. Grows in dry woodlands, roadsides, at mid- to high elevations.
