Stem erect, silky-haired, with many branches. Leaves on stems with short petioles, 3 leaflets 1 in. long, narrowly oblong. Flower spike to 1 in., dull green or gray, with many flowers. Flowers pale pink or white, shorter than hairy calyx, with lobes longer than tube. Grows in waste places, fields, usually in sandy soils, at low elevations. Native to Europe.
