Yellow Sand Verbena
Prostrate, forming dense mats to 3 ft. across, fleshy, glistening with glands. Leaves thick, rounded, 1–2 in. across. Flower clusters bright yellow on 1–3 in. stalks. Flower 1/4–1/2 in. across with 5 petals forming a long slender tube 1/4–3/4 in. long with tips folded wide open. Grows on coastal sand, in scrub.
