Erect, usually a cluster of stems from single root. Stems do not break easily from root, coated with stemmed glands. Leaves yellow-green, basal and on stems, with largest on stem near base. Basal leaves on wide spreading petioles, round, with wide lobes; stem leaves upright, narrower, with more lobes. Flowers deep blue-purple, dense or open on stem, with spurs often crossing stem. Grows in rocky areas along streams at springs, roadside ditches. Endemic to central Washington.
