Erect. Stems hollow, sometimes branched. Leaves interspersed with flowers along stems. Leaves narrowly oval to linear, edges flat to slightly curly. Flowers greenish, turning yellow, crowded all along stem, less so near bottom. Flowers have 6 lobes, the inner one narrowly egg-shaped. Grows in wet, even salty places at low to mid elevations.
