Dwarf Mountain Groundsel

Prostrate to erect perennial. Stem with numerous branches growing outward, then upward, to 6 in. Leaves thick, lance- to spoon-shaped, widening at tip end, coarsely toothed. Leaves on full length of the stem, with largest approximately in the middle. Flower heads numerous on individual stalks at top, with eight ray flowers, many disk flowers. Rocky soils, talus in alpine zones.
