Prostrate to erect. Single stem sometimes branched, hairy. Leaf palmately divided into 3 lance-shaped leaflets, held on main stem with long stalk above it. Flower stalk holds a single leaf, divided 3 times, and a single white to pale pink flower. Grows on roadsides, edges of moist places, from coast to mountain forests and alpine.
