Allium amplectens
Erect flower stem with withering leaves. Leaves 2–4, narrow, somewhat rounded in cross section, attached along stem. Cluster of 10–50 white to light pink, papery flowers tops stem; tips of petals do not turn up; ovary distinctly 6-crested. Petals cup up and over ovary as they wither. Grows in vernal-wet clay and serpentine soils that become hot and dry, below 7000 ft.
