Spreading mound. Foliage with strong, unpleasant scent. Stems erect, branching, slightly hairy. Stem leaves 2 or 3 times pinnately divided into linear segments. Flower heads single at stem tops, white rays turn downward with age, prominent yellow central disk. A weed abundant in fields, sand dunes, along roads, many other disturbed places, below 6500 ft.
