Marbled Wild Ginger

Clump. Leaves leathery, heart-shaped, dark green marbled silver along veins, rarely plain green; petioles sparsely coated with coarse wavy hairs. Flowers pale reddish brown, red on the inner surface with some dark hairs; tube with 3 more or less upright olive-brown lobes with very long extended tails. Grows in moist woods and forests, on rocky outcrops, other rocky places. This beautiful uncommon plant is found only in Siskiyou and Klamath mountains.
