Castilleja cusickii
Clump, all parts covered with very small hairs. Stems many, unbranched. Leaves numerous, upward-pointing, lance-shaped, with 3–7 slender lobes. Yellow or occasionally pale violet bracts and calyces, lobes rounded. Flower with whitish lobes about 1–1 1/2 in. long hidden in calyx of same length. Grows in moist granitic meadows at mid and high elevations.
