Micranthes apetala
Erect stem, basal leaf rosette. Leaves egg-shaped, less than 1 1/2 in. long, tapering into short petioles, entire or slightly toothed. Flower stalk stout, covered with glands, leafless, flowers at top in 1 or more tight balls. Flowers usually without petals; if present, petals yellow or green; sepals triangular; anthers short, yellow. Grows in grassy slopes and spring-moist meadows at mid to high elevations.
