Creeping on ground, rooting at nodes. Stems round to 6 ft. long, thornless. Leaves divided palmately, the 3 leaflets widely oval, finely toothed, green on top and underside. Flower small, petals widely oval, white. Fruit tiny, raspberry-like, red, densely hairy. Grows in open forests at mid- to relatively high elevations. Can be confused with R. pedatus, which has 3–5 leaflets but narrower petals.
