Stellaria graminea
Sprawling to 20 in. Stems slender. Stems and leaves with few hairs. Leaves opposite, evenly spaced, linear to lance-shaped, 1/3–1 1/3 in. long, flat, entire. Flowers numerous in clusters at stem tips. Flowers have 5 short sepals with tips pointed, may be densely hairy on edges, 5 white petals slightly longer than sepals. Grows in lawns, gardens, disturbed soils. From Europe. Stellaria humifusa, a native in the salt marshes, has fleshy leaves on stems to 15 in. long, forming mats.
