Slate Peak, Okanogan National Forest

Slate Peak is at the end of the Hart's Pass Road, which climbs about 20 miles out of Mazama. It's the highest place you can drive in the North Cascades, and straddles the boundary between Whatcom and Okanogan Counties, as well as between the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie and Okanogan National Forests. The weather this day was cloudy, windy, and cold.
